TAC Festival to host Iranian documentaries, juror

Two Iranian documentaries have made it to the 17th edition of the Archaeology Channel International Film Festival (TAC) in the US.

Iran’s Documentary & Experimental Film Center reported that ‘Hafiz and Goethe’ by Farshad Fereshteh-Hekmat and ‘Vars’ by Javad Vatani’ will vie in the event as two of the center’s productions.

The event also named a film expert from Iran as a member of the jury. Bahman Nourai, the commercial manger at the Documentary & Experimental Film Center, sits on the jury for this year’s edition of the festival.

TAC Festival will take place online May 13-17 due to the coronavirus pandemic.  

The event aims to exhibit the wonderful diversity of human cultures past and present and promote the genre and the makers of film and video productions about cultural heritage.
